Meet Our Staff
Amy Gromowski (Administrator)

Ms. Gromowski is a product of Lutheran education from her elementary school years through college at Valparaiso University, Indiana. She has taught in a variety of grade levels throughout her career in education. In her leisure time, Ms. Gromowski enjoys reading a good mystery, crocheting prayer shawls, on-line gaming, and geo-caching with her children. It is truly her honor and privilege to be serving the church, school families, and our Lord here at Good Shepherd.
Stephen Bernau (7th/8th Grade)

Mr. Bernau loves teaching middle school children and helping them to become the best versions of themselves as they make the transition into high school. He is a recent graduate of Concordia University Wisconsin (Go Falcons!). In his free time, he loves to run, read, play board/card games, and cheer for his favorite sports teams (Duke Basketball and the Los Angeles Rams). He is also quite the Taylor Swift fan.
Charlotte Groth (5th/6th grade)

Miss Groth has been working with middle school students for over 15 years and loves the energy they bring to the classroom. She loves to make history come alive though social studies and enjoys sharing a great historical fiction novel with her students. Outside the of school Miss Groth stays busy working on her hobby farm, teaching genealogy classes at the Watertown library, and collecting Lutheran memorabilia. Be sure to ask her about her Portals of Prayer collection!
Laura Jeseritz Baker (4th Grade)

Mrs. Jeseritz Baker and her son have been long time members of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. During her time here Mrs. Jeseritz Baker has served as a teacher in our middle grades. As a graduate of Concordia University, Mequon, Mrs. Jeseritz Baker is excited to teach students about the love of Jesus every day. And in her spare time she enjoys reading, vacationing with her son, singing in the church’s praise choir, scrapbooking with friends, and exercising.
Lucas Gerlach (3rd grade)

Lucas Gerlach, an Oconomowoc native, has spent 11 years teaching at Concordia International School Shanghai prior to coming to Good Shepherd. As a teacher, he seeks to serve children by helping them find their God-given potential, build character, and grow as Christ-centered leaders. Mr. Gerlach enjoys biking, playing board games, singing along with his ukulele, and spending time with family.
Kelli Ryddner (2nd Grade)

Miss Ryddner is a 2016 graduate of Concordia University, Nebraska, and has attended Lutheran schools all her life. Prior to coming to Good Shepherd, Miss Ryddner taught third grade for three years in Indiana. Miss Ryddner feels blessed to be a part of the Good Shepherd family and to be teaching second grade. In her free time, she likes to hang out with her family and friends, travel, go antiquing, and exercise.
Danielle Bely (1st Grade)

Mrs. Bely is excited to be sharing the Lord’s love with his little lambs here at Good Shepherd! She graduated from UW-Whitewater in 2000 and has been teaching ever since! She has taught in kindergarten and second grade at other schools and now has the privilege of teaching first grade here at Good Shepherd. Mrs. Bely and her family have been members at Good Shepherd for many years and her two daughters attend Good Shepherd school. In her free time, she enjoys camping, jeeping and geo-caching with her family, traveling, reading a good book, or playing games.
Johanna Grahman (Kindergarten)

Ms. Graham feels blessed to be at Good Shepherd. She comes to Good Shepherd with 20+ years of Early Childhood experience. Her favorite part of teaching is sharing the love of Jesus with her students every day. In the classroom, her passion is guiding young students through their learning, and watching them grow every teaching moment. She is a graduate of Carthage College in Kenosha, WI. While not at school she enjoys reading, spending time with her two sons watching them on the soccer fields or basketball courts. She enjoys traveling with her family and most recently enjoyed a week on the Island of Oahu!
Ingrid Wickboldt (K4)
Mrs. Wickboldt finds so much joy in teaching preschoolers each day and sharing the love of Jesus. She is a graduate of Concordia University Chicago with a degree in Early Childhood Education. She comes to Good Shepherd from the Chicago area with 19 years of teaching experience with preschoolers in Lutheran schools. She is so excited to be teaching 4K at Good Shepherd. She enjoys spending her free time cooking new recipes, exercising, reading, traveling and spending time with her family.
Michelle Gerlach (K3)

I am thrilled to be teaching K3 here at Good Shepherd. I love singing and dancing with them and getting them excited about how much Jesus loves them. I enjoy showing the kids how much fun learning is when we get messy! I am delighted to be at Good Shepherd with my husband, Mr. Gerlach, and my younger children. As a family we love to explore nature and travel to Colorado to visit family.
Michelle Keller (Daycare)

Mrs. Keller serves as Good Shepherd’s child care director and 3 year old preschool teacher. Having grown up in the area, Mrs. Keller knows all the best places for window shopping. She enjoys both watching and playing volleyball, and hopes to one day make a visit to Switzerland. But, for now, she is happy to serve her Lord by sharing her talents with His little ones here in Watertown.
Kristen Wrolstad (Music)

With a Masters Degree from UWM in Vocal Performance, Mrs. Wrolstad is a professional singer. She is excited to praise the Lord by teaching music in our Day School and in our Sunday School. When not wrapped up in her music, Mrs. Wrolstad likes to read Christian fiction, play “Words With Friends”, and clean the house.
Sam Galaviz (Spanish)

Mr. Samuel Galaviz teaches Spanish here at Good Shepherd in addition to working for Watertown Unified School District as a bilingual paraprofessional. He retired from his career at John Deere in 2009 and now finds himself even more busy coaching soccer, landscaping and helping out the Spanish community. He loves working with the youth and volunteering in the community.

Kathy Wackett (Physical Education)

Mrs. Wackett is very excited to serve the Lord as the Physical Education teacher here at GSLS. She has been teaching PE in 4K-8th grade for 23 years. Mrs. Wackett likes to see her family run in races and soccer games. You might see her biking, walking or running around town.
Heather McGuire (Administrative Assistant)

Mrs. McGuire is a familiar face here as she and her family are long time members at Good Shepherd. Her talents of organization and attention to detail are daily used to the glory of God. A few interesting facts about Mrs. McGuire include that she is also a landscape architect, enjoys snowmobiling, and visiting different National Parks across the country.
Dee Kuhlman (Administrative Assistant)

Mrs. Kuhlman moved to Watertown in 2010. She brings a wealth of clerical, organizational and computer skills to the church office. On the side, Mrs. Kuhlman enjoys singing, crocheting, painting and paper quilling. She loves being around the people and children here at Good Shepherd as we grow in together Christ.
Pastor David Groth

Pastor Groth gets much pleasure from his vocations as a pastor and a dad. In his time away from the office Pastor is known to enjoy gardening, cooking, golf, tennis, beekeeping, sugaring (the process of making maple syrup), and a good game of Sheepshead. And even with all that, he still finds time to be a newspaper junkie.
